'The Aviator' flies high at the Golden Globes

It was high flying at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills last night. The Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator took home three trophies from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association including Best Picture, Drama.

A trio of night's other favorites earned two Golden Globes each: Sideways, Closer, and Million Dollar Baby. Sideways won as the Best Picture in the Comedy or Musical category.

Robin Williams received the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award for his outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment. The presentation included a retrospective of his career in film and TV and was topped-off by a memorable acceptance speech by the always over-the-top Williams.
